Welcome to the answers to the Sunday October 27 2013 LA Times crossword puzzle! Wake Up! Actually according to today’s theme we should be ‘catching some zs’. I don’t mind having a sleep in on a Sunday to be honest:)

The Sirens in the Greek mythology were bird-women who sing to entice men and sailors to their deaths. He heard the beautiful singing but he and the rest of his ship was able to sail away safely.
